With a clear commitment to the hydrogen economy as a technology of the future, NRW Minister for Economic Affairs Mona Neubaur visited the HYDROVERSE CONVENTION 2025.
The event brought together over 600 experts from across Europe, including start-ups, companies, investors and political decision-makers.
The focus of Minister Neubaur’s visit was on the Best of NRW exhibition area, where particularly innovative hydrogen start-ups from North Rhine-Westphalia presented their solutions.
Around 600 hydrogen experts from Europe, Asia and the USA attended the second HYDROVERSE CONVENTION.
An extensive program was offered, including start-up pitches and an exhibition. Renowned speakers shared their views on innovation and support for hydrogen startups, including Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, CEO of Hydrogen Europe and analyst and investor Michael Liebreich, CEO of Liebreich Associates.
In three panels, experts shared their experiences of building the hydrogen economy.
Marko Virkebau, CEO and co-founder of Stargate Hydrogen was presented with this year’s ‘HYDROVERSE CONVENTION Award’.
Around 350 visitors from Germany and abroad attended the first HYDROVERSE CONVENTION. The event offered the European hydrogen industry a comprehensive program with pitches, a start-up expo, a keynote speech and two panel discussions.
Experts shared their experiences on the ramp-up of the hydrogen economy, including Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, CEO of Hydrogen Europe, and Dr. Gokce Mete, founder of the ‘Women in Green Hydrogen’ network.
At the end of the event, H2UB presented the “HYDROVERSE CONVENTION Award” to Flore de Durfort of atmen (formerly known as ‘Point Twelve’).
